A particular prescription drug provides real comfort and utility to a particular user, though at the same time posing serious, even life-threatening, risks for certain other classes of users.

For example, Vioxx was an anti-inflammatory drug designed primarily to fight the disabling pain of arthritis. Prior to its voluntary recall in 2003, Vioxx was used by over twenty million Americans, as well as by millions of others in the additional eighty countries in which it is prescribed.  Unfortunately, users with hypertension suffered an alarmingly high rate of debilitating heart attacks.

Tragedies that arise by legally taking prescription drugs create real problems for users because they rely upon the FDA's approval process to ensure drugs are safe, yet no drug can be completely safe.

We understand these complex issues and can determine when a drug crosses the line from being beneficial to being dangerous.  Some of the drugs currently known to be dangerous include:

     - Actos (Bladder Cancer)
     - Zoloft (Birth Defects)
     - Topamax (Birth Defects)
     - Accutane (IBD and Ulcerative Colitis)
     - Yaz, Yasmin, Ocella (Heart Attack, Stroke, Kidney Damage)
     - Crestor (Kidney Damage and Rhabdomyolysis)
